After a long and eventful winter, residents in New Brunswick are financially feeling the brunt as more bills and invoices continue to 'flood' in from the historic flood.

CTV News has reported that the cost of the flood damage is not being estimated at just over $1 million in St. John. Damage is still being tallied in Fredericton and the municipal offices are hoping to have some semblance of damage estimates by next week.

So far, the estimated damage of roads and bridges within the province have estimated at about $19 million.

According to the Canadian Red Cross, about $600,000 has been set aside for individuals who experienced the most damage, while $200,000 has already been distributed to the public.

As of now, there is no final report of all the damage that was done to cottages and homes or those that were completely destroyed, according to CTV Atlantic.
