Three suspects were arrested early Saturday morning after fleeing from a home invasion and assault in South Berwick.

Three People Fled from Home Invasion after Assaulting the Tenants

The South Berwick Police Department said three people broke into a residence on Punkintown Road and assaulted the occupants.

Suspects Fled the Scene Before Police Arrived

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Officer Jeff Pelkey called for assistance from other agencies and a perimeter was set up around the area.

Vehicle Located and Three People Apprehended

Police located the suspect’s vehicle shortly after they left the scene. All three were arrested and taken into custody.

Victims and Suspects Knew Each Other

“It was learned that the suspects were known to the victims and was not a random event,” said South Berwick PD.

Victims had Injuries as Investigation Remains Open

The victims of the assault had minor injuries. Names and ages were not released as the investigation is active and ongoing.

Charges Against Suspect to Be Released by United State District Attorney

Charges will be announced and the names of the suspects released by the United State District Attorney.
