Two people have been arrested in southern Aroostook County in an ongoing investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

On Tuesday, July 15th the Maine State Police in Houlton received a tip that the subject sought by MDEA agents in connection with the methamphetamine lab discovered in Merrill on July 10th, was hiding out in a camp on the Clark Road in Merrill.

Maine State Troopers with a K-9 tracking team, Aroostook County Deputies and Maine Game Wardens responded to the area where they located the camp described by the tipster. Hiding inside the camp, law enforcement officers found 38-year- old Micah Lawlor of Merrill, along with his female companion, 26-year-old Jessica Tremblay, also from Merrill.

Both of these individuals were arrested inside the camp and a firearm that was being worn by Lawlor was seized at the time of the arrests.  Both were transported to the Aroostook County Jail, where they were charged with the following offenses:

Micah Lawlor-  Class B trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (methamphetamine)- 2 counts, Class A Burglary, Class C Theft, Class D Criminal Trespass

Jessica TremblayClass A Burglary, Class C Theft, Class D Criminal Trespass
