A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning for robbing a convenience store, assault, active warrants, possession and resisting arrest in Lewiston, Maine.

Man Identified by Witnesses and Surveillance Video

The Lewiston Police Department said Ali Abdi Mohamed was identified as the man who robbed a convenience store around 6:30 am. Police spoke to witnesses and used surveillance footage as evidence.

Suspect Tried to Flee from Police

He tried to flee from officers at a Lewiston apartment later that night. He was taken into custody and transported to the Androscoggin County Jail.

Multiple Charges

He is facing charges for Robbery, Violations of Conditions of Release (he was out on bail), Outstanding warrants (DV Assault), Violating Conditions of Release, Assault, Refusing to Submit to Arrest, Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs.
