The opening reception will be held on March 3, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, during the First Friday Downtown Art Walk. An artist talk is scheduled for 6:45 pm when Beth will explain the inspiration behind her show and some of the pieces. Refreshments will be served and musical entertainment provided by classical pianist Eva Ireland.  The evening event is free and open to the public.

Beth Brown grew up in central Maine where she took private art lessons for four years.  She attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education while minoring in Fine Art.

“My work in this show is primarily pop art / impressionism with bright colors in acrylic,” said Beth.  “Most of the pieces are large and on canvas.”

Beth is a stay-at-home mom and artist.  She, her husband Travis, and their three children currently live in Washburn.
