O’brien Weighs in on the Great Debate – Van Halen vs. Van Hagar [POLL]

The Van Halen/Van Hagar debate has made it to our Rock website.  If you've ever listened to my show, weekdays from 3p-6p on the Rock, you know where I stand this subject.  For those of you who don't know, here's my take. 

Van Halen and Van Hagar are two different bands.  With DLR in the front, they were and are a fantastic show band.  When Hagar came on board they took it to a multi-platinum level.  The albums with Roth were arguably derivative, while Hagar's voice opened them up to more melodic fare.  That's how it looks from where I sit.  What about you?  Take the poll.
