Teen Escapes After Totaling His Car in Southern Aroostook
A teenage driver escaped with minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident in southern Aroostook County on Sunday afternoon.
Trooper Jill Monahan responded to the crash on Route 2 in New Limerick around 4:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Brian Harris of the Maine State Police.
Harris said 17-year-old Austin White of Smyrna was traveling west on the County Road in a 2001 Dodge when he lost control on a corner. The car went off the road and struck a large tree. The vehicle was totaled.
Police said that White sustained minor injuries in the crash but did not require medical attention.
