Did you know that today, June 28th is Paul Bunyan Day? For those of us who live in the Bangor area, the Paul Bunyan statue is something we probably all take for granted, because well, it is always there, but it is a great point of interest to the tourists who flock to Maine each summer season...

All 11 of these deestinations, make Maine a state like no other! Every state in the country has things that make them special, and Maine is no different. If you live here, or plan on visitng, there are some interesting thuings to do, that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else...

Is there anywhere in Maine that you wouldn't go to because it is too “touristy” (Yes, it is a word, I checked)

When I look at Bangor, I definitely think 'royalty.'

"What must you accept if you move to Bangor?" Kind of a loaded question, because like any town, or city that you move to, there is a good and bad, but people weighed in with some pretty solid responses.

Some of the lyrics are questionable, but this cool little pop song shows some love for the Queen City!

You know the old saying, right? If you don't treat her right, someone else will. Well, the same principle applies to Paul.

We’re lucky, here in Bangor, to get a nice mix of small-town character with big-city attractions!

A lot of people have their picture taken at The Paul Bunyan statue in Bangor. It's one of the most photographed spots in the city, so it's no surprise that this person had their photo taken next to it when they were visiting the Queen City.

Bangor claims to be the birthplace of the lumber industry as well as a well-known mythical lumberman. But Bangor is not the only place you can find a Paul Bunyan Statue, there are at least 5 others! But is Bangor's Paul the best?
