If you've been cruising Facebook over the past three days you might have noticed your friend's profile pictures turning into giraffes. I had the excellent opportunity to speak with Andrew Strugnell, the man behind the recent giraffe craze that's taking over the social media site.

The first-ever Color Presque Isle 5K was a resounding success.  That’s the word from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the Wintergreen Arts Center, who co-hosted the popular event on a sunny Saturday in August.

August 13th is International Left-Handers Day and in honor of lefties around the world JW and I thought we'd dig deep and find our inner southpaw and take a crack at being left-handed.

On August 24, 2013 runners dressed in white will take off from Riverside Park in Presque Isle, Maine for the Color Presque Isle 5K - a 'County style' color run where participants dress all in white and have colored powder tossed at them throughout a course. The run combines fun, fitness, and the arts to benefit the Northern Maine Center for the Cultural Arts.

The ''Lil Farmers Exhibit' has seen more than 2,000 kids collect eggs, milk, potatoes, wool, apples and vegetables since the interactive agricultural exhibit was set in motion. The new family tradition will be receiving some additions at the 159th Northern Maine Fair.

Yes, it is April and there is snow in the forecast but living in northern Maine and western New Brunswick, we expect that.  There will be sunshine and warmer temperatures soon.  Yes, there will.  That being said, what are your plans for the summer?  Do they involve getting naked and bailing yourself in hay?
