It's getting closer to our favorite candy eating holiday, Halloween! (Cue 'Psycho' scream/thunder clap). Here's a list of Halloween events happening in Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick during the month of October!

From corn mazes to haunted hay rides, trains and trails there's bound to be something for you and your family to enjoy. Don't forget- if you attend any of these events, feel free to share any photos you may have taken! We'd love to see them. Send copies to josh.archer@townsquaremedia.com.

    Goughan's Corn Maze

    Caribou
    • Date: Open now through the end of October, 2013.
    • Time: M-Sat 8-5pm / Sun 11-5pm
    • Location: Goughan's Farm, 872 Fort Fairfield Road, Caribou, Maine
    • Cost: $7.50 / person 5 & under are free

    Goughan's Farm makes cool and intricate designs as their maze every year; this year's design is of a moose riding a snowmobile! The price includes an ice cream upon completion of the maze. The mini golf course is also open for $3.50 /person 3-7 under are free. If you would like to do both a $10 flat rate will be charged.

    Goughan's Farm stops admitting people into the maze at 4pm since it takes about an hour to complete.

    Fall Fun Festival

    Make sure to dress up the kiddos in their favorite costumes! There will be TONS of candy, games, and prizes! Make sure to stick around for a puppet presentation at the end of the festivities!

    Trunk or Treat

    October 31, 2013

    Trunk or Treat is a fun way for kids to go trick or treating without going door to door. Also, it is a way for those of who do not get many trick or treaters to join the fun.

    Prizes include: $200 for best 'Trunk' decoration and $50 for best costume ages 11-17.  One lucky trick or treater will find $50 in their candy!

    For adults: adults from all over are welcome. To enter, all you need is a 'Trunk' (SUV, Car, Truck, or ATV), some treats (bring your own treats to hand out) and a costume*.

    Register between 3:45pm - 4:30pm. Cash prizes will be announced at 7:30pm.

    For ages 11-17: to be entered into the costume contest, each entrant must be registered by 5pm and must stay until judging at 6pm.

    Kids, come vote for your favorite 'Trunk' and get a free FULL SIZE candy bar. Your votes will decide the winner.

    *No scary or provocative costumes will be allowed.
