Three More Classic Rolling Stones Titles To Be Re-Issued on Clear Vinyl
As the swirl of interest in all things vinyl continues, ABKCO Records has just announced the latest batch of Rolling Stones titles set for the vinyl re-issue treatment. May 6 will see the release of three Stones platters, '12 X 5,' 'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert' and 'Through The Past, Darkly: Big Hits Vol 2.'
Their sophomore American album, '12 x 5' features five songs recorded at Chicago's legendary Chess Studios and the hit singles 'It's All Over Now' and 'Time Is on My Side.' 'Get Yer Ya-Yas Out!" is a document of their 1969 American tour and was released in an expanded version in 2013. 'Through The Past, Darkly' is a 1969 that includes such classics as 'Jumpin' Jack Flash,' 'Let's Spend the Night Together' and 'Mother's Little Helper.'
All three titles will be issued on 180-gram clear vinyl as part of ABKCO's 'Clearly Classic' series, and all have been meticulously mastered from high-resolution audio files sourced from the original master tapes. They also include the original artwork, including the die-cut sleeve for 'Through The Past, Darkly.' Three other Stones LP's, 'Beggars Banquet,' 'Let It Bleed,' and 'Hot Rocks: 1964-1971,' were previously issued in this series to rave reviews for sound quality, and packaging.
