On the planet I came from Massachusetts, a person's sexual orientation has very little to do with their ability to lead. That being said, this is what I saw on a truck today in Northern Maine.

I'm not sure what planet this person is from, but what is the purpose of paying for a sign like this one? First off, I'm a straight male so I have no horse in this race. I just don't understand the rationale of putting a sign up like this to sway voters. The majority of people voting in this election are educated enough to not be affected by such sophomoric humor. So why do it?  Is this to get a laugh out of your buddies? What happens after November 4th? What happens if the state of Maine elects a gay governor? Does the sticker stay on or not?

Bottom line is during any election in my opinion it's all about what the candidate can do to improve our lives, and has absolutely nothing to do with who they choose to spend their lives with. Everybody has the ability to choose who they want to vote for, I just hope that people vote based on qualifications and not on a sign they saw in the parking lot of a supermarket.
