Holidays are Seeing Lower Gas Prices
As people head back home after the Christmas holiday, motorists are seeing lower gas prices around New England.
Prices at the pumps in Maine, according to GasBuddy.com's latest survey, fell about a nickel a gallon to an average $2.33 a gallon. Prices at most stations in Presque Isle, as of early Wednesday afternoon, were $2.46 a gallon.
While neighboring New Hampshire saw a smaller drop in price to an average of $2.41 a gallon, Vermont's price at the pump fell the most, but it's average price remained the highest. Gas there fell more than five cents a gallon, but it's average price per gallon was $2.53.
According to a GusBuddy analyst, 31 states have at least one station selling gasoline for under $2 a gallon.
