Chuck Taylor sneakers are the epitome of cool. You wear them, rock stars wear them - everybody has owned a pair. Now, they have a new look - with a traditional style, but more support and comfort.

Converse makes Chuck Taylor sneakers - and the shoe company has a long history of working with athletes to market and improve their shoes.

In 1921, Chuck Taylor, the basketball player, started selling the shoe. The patch was originally designed to support and protect the ankle. Olympians competed in All-Stars and and soldiers in WWII wore them to train.

The history of Converse also features Larry Bird, Dr. J, Magic and some many more. This video highlights their involvement.
