Everyone knows I hate politics so I hesitate to even post this question but this space is for you to get to know me so, here goes.  ‘Do you think we should attack Syria?’

I believe I’m one of those 80 to 90 percent of American people polled that think we should not.  The only reason for me is I don’t think our motives are on the up and up.  Our President believes that when a government crosses a ‘red line’ and begins killing its people with chemical weapons then we need to save the day.  I’m all about saving the day, but why didn’t we do it earlier?

The Syrian government has been killing its own citizens for a while now and because they used chemical weapons, now is the time to step in?  What about Egypt, a country that’s been killing Christians left and right?  What about all the women and children being killed in other parts of the world in genocidal fashion that no one hears about?  Why haven’t we stepped in?

Yes, the issue in Syria must be resolved.  I simply think the motives need to be spelled out a bit more and this moral high ground that our government claims its standing on is hogwash.  If it were a moral issue, the minute any government began slaughtering its own people would have been a ‘red line.’

Now how about some AC/DC, Aerosmith or maybe Barry Manilow?  Feel free to ‘educate’ me here.
