Apparently there was a great turnout for the fishing derby at Mantle Lake Park in Presque Isle on Saturday.  I wouldn’t know because I had a prior commitment and was unable to take my brood.  Father-of-the-year, I know.  What I did do to try to make up for it was to take them fishing Sunday afternoon.  I should preface this by stating that I can count the number of times that I’ve been fishing on

I was volunteering at an elementary school last week and a fifth grade class found out that I worked at the radio station.  What came next was a barrage of questions that I tried really hard to answer.  One student stumped me though.  So much so that even today, I don’t really know if I can answer it.

It’s Mother’s Day weekend and as a red-blooded American male I decided I’d be the perfect one to ponder the question, ‘What does it mean to be a mother in 2013?’  Of course I’m coming at it from the outside looking in.  Some would say being a mother doesn’t mean the same thing it did in years past because of our changing times.  I agree and disagree.

So I’m working in the studio with a client and Doug got bored.  He decided to hang out in my office for a while.  While he was there he created the ‘To-do’ list you see below.  He’s a special kind of special for sure.

Townsquare Media and TAMC Aroostook Pediatrics are throwing a Kids Fest this Saturday, April 6th at the Crow’s Nest in Presque Isle.  Everything is free.  We’re excited to welcome Berenstain Bears Live for 3 shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.  Tickets to those shows start at $10 and kids under 3 get in free.  You will be able to purchase them  at the door.

I know that country superstar Brad Paisley has a song called 'Letter to Me,' and there's a YouTube video somewhere that shows a 32 year-old talking to his actual 12 year-old self.  With this in mind I thought we'd pose the question of the day...

Doug and I get to play the fastest growing game show in our studio, 'Guess the Classics,' all week long on the All-Request Show.  Doug reads song lyrics in only the way that he can and the listeners guess the artist and the song.  This week's prize is a $25 Subway Gift Card...
