Police said a man’s body was recovered Wednesday morning from the Androscoggin River in Lisbon Falls.

Police Investigating after Man’s Body Recovered from River

The Lisbon Police Department said the body was found around 10:01 am at the Eagle Creek Renewable Energy Dam, at 31 Canal Street in Lisbon Falls.

Autopsy at Medical Examiner's Office

“The body was brought to the Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy will be performed,” said Chief of Police Ryan McGee.

First Responders Recovered Body

The Lisbon and Durham Fire Departments, with the assistance of the Maine Marine Patrol recovered the man’s body.

Police said “No Known Threats to the Public”

“This is an active investigation and there are no known threats to the public,” said Chief McGee. No additional information was released.
