The National Weather Service Office in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Aroostook County until Wednesday morning, and blowing snow even after the snow tapers off.

Snow accumulation of 8 - 14 inches is possible with higher amounts in southern sections. Other parts of Maine from Bangor to Calais to Portland are under a blizzard warning, with 1-2 feet of snow expected.  Gusty northeast winds will result in blowing and drifting snow well into the day on Wednesday.

For Aroostook County, while snowfall amounts will be lower than the rest of the state, it will be the biggest storm since December 17-18, when over a foot of snow fell across the region.
