The Weather Company has just released their temperature and precipitation forecast for December, January, February, March and April. They say a La Nina pattern should hold through the winter months, so what does that mean for Maine?

Near-average temperatures are anticipated during the December through February period in much the East Coast.

Dr. Todd Crawford, chief meteorologist with The Weather Company, said in a news release, 'This La Niña pattern should "drive plenty of Arctic air into western Canada, but the eastern U.S. may be rather warm during late winter without significant blocking or relaxation of the unusually strong North Pacific jet'

Precipitation this winter is predicted to be slightly wetter than average across New England.

A sneak peak of the temperature forecast into early spring is for near normal conditions to continue.
