Wanted: Musicians and Entertainers for Annual Fiddlers’ Jamboree
Anyone feel like fiddlin' around?
The call has gone out to area musicians and entertainers to take part in an annual tradition, the Fiddlers' Jamboree, organized by the University of Maine at Fort Kent. This yearly event is one of the largest jam sessions.
The jamboree will be held on the University of Maine at Fort Kent campus in UMFK's Fox Auditorium on Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event brings together talented musicians from throughout Aroostook County and western New Brunswick for an afternoon of impromptu performances.
Attendance for the jamboree has grown steadily over the past years and is a favorite for both the audience and the musicians who perform there.
Interested fiddlers, guitarists, other acoustic musicians, and singers are invited and encouraged to contact Susan Tardie at (207) 834-7557 or toll-free at 1-888-879-8635, ext. 7557 or Warren Harvey at (207) 834-3939 before Monday, February 25, 2019.
