The U.S. Department of Education will review applications that could benefit 960 students who attend the University of Maine, Presque Isle, after rejecting them for an error.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the Department of Ed will review $624,000 in grant funding for the University of Maine-Presque Isle or UMPI.

Federal funding for the UMPI 'Upward Bound' program was originally rejected because the applications required double spacing. Infographics showed one and a half line spacing which caused the applications to be rejected.

Department of Education Chief Betsy DeVos told a House Appropriations Committee on Wednesday, that she would allow the applications to be accepted, along with other schools that faced the same thing.
