Playing shorthanded and on the second night of back-to-back games, the Boston Celtics gutted out a 117-108 win over the Washington Wizards Wednesday night.

Isaiah Thomas led the way with 38 points, 20 of them in the fourth quarter.

The C's played without Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Tyler Zeller and James Young. All were either injured for sick.

Jae Crowder stepped up scoring 20 points. Al Horford added 16 and 9 rebounds.

Bradley Beal led the Wiz with 35 points.

Boston improves to 24-15 with Atlanta next on the schedule.
