This Maine Dog Needs a Special Human After Months of Searching for a Home

Kiska is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees dog with a big fluffy white coat and even bigger smile.  Kiska has been searching for the perfect home for quite some time while the rescue organization cares for her. She has faced some challenging circumstances in her life which have lead to behavior hurdles she needs to conquer. Are you the right human to help her become the dog we know she's destined to be?

She was rescued from a high-kill shelter by a couple from Maine, but was surrendered to us when they couldn't keep up with her behavioral problems. Because she was not properly socialized as a young dog, Kiska is now aggressive towards strangers and other animals.

Although behavior issues have lead to Kiska's surrender in the past, the rescue organization believes the right living situation and an understanding human will change Kiska's life.

Kiska is very loving and protective of the people she knows and would do well as a companion/guard dog for a person living alone.
