Conor Schmidt and Journey Bragg are the Spring Week Six Athlete of the Week winners after standout performances and another strong round of County voting.

Presque Isle won the boys Aroostook League Track and Field Championship, while Max Morrow and Ethan Walsh delivered some of the meet’s biggest performances.

Presque Isle rolled to the girls Aroostook League Track and Field Championship, led by big days from Aleah Rideout, Brigid Schupbach and several field-event winners.

Voting is open for Spring Week Four Athlete of the Week, with six County athletes nominated from softball, baseball, and track and field.

Spring Week Three Athlete of the Week ended in a tie, with Max Morrow of Caribou and Collin McCrum of Washburn earning co-winner honors.

May 11 County sports action featured baseball and softball wins for Caribou, Katahdin, Washburn and Fort Fairfield.

The Northern Maine Moose girls lacrosse team earned its first win, Presque Isle edged Fort Kent, Katahdin topped Washburn, and Van Buren and Madawaska split in tennis.

Tuesday’s County sports slate featured a Fort Fairfield no-hitter, a Houlton softball pitchers’ duel, Caribou tennis sweeps, and a close Moose lacrosse battle.

Presque Isle swept the girls and boys team titles at the PVC Week Two Track Meet, with Caribou finishing second in both standings.
