The Presque Isle Elks hosted a potato-picking contest for youth during the Crown of Maine Balloonfest Street Fair.

The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest features the Summer Sidewalk Sale, food, vendors, and music from The Good Ole Boys and Gals.

A street fair in downtown Presque Isle on Thursday, hosted by Presque Isle Lodge of Elks, will launch the 2015 Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. Traffic will be detoured on Main Street from Blake to Academy for the celebration from 4 to 10 p.m., according to Elks Exalted Ruler Alan Harding...

“Come join our block party and in keeping with this year’s theme, ‘Lesse bon temps roullez, Let the good times roll’.”  Those are the words of Alan Harding, Exalted Ruler of the Presque Isle Elks, who on Thursday, August 21, will again be hosting a street fair in downtown Presque Isle from 4 to 10 p.m.  The theme for the 2014 street fair is ‘Saluer Acadia’ or ‘Praise Acadia’.

One thing I absolutely love about my job is that I get to see lots of sights, and one that I look forward to every year is seeing the abundance of hot air balloons in the sky during the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. And the time has come for this year's event!
