Yesterday was a perfect day for sledding here in Maine. Warm weather and great snow conditions makes for a fun day speeding down a hill. For one sledder the cool factor was through the roof. Check out Orson Eugene in his winter gear, with the sunglasses that are just a wee bit too big for him...

Even though there is snow on the ground some Maine State Parks are just as busy as they are in the summer.

I heard the local weatherman hint that we could be getting snow over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. When I was a kid that meant time to get the sled and have some fun. My go to sledding spot when I was growing up in Lewiston was at Davis Mountain at Bates College.

Come one, come all to the 2016 Caribou Winter Carnival with lots of activities starting Friday night going through Sunday night, February 12-14th!
