I love going to see live bands, especially when they offer something different than the same old-same old. It's hard to be a cover band in a rural area because there are a lot of different tastes to take into consideration so musicians often end up playing songs that have a proven track record just to keep people happy.

Sure, there are a lot of interesting covers out there. There's a bluegrass group in particular that does some amazing bluegrass interpretations of hard rock classics. I think they're called Hayseed Dixie. This video goes a different direction.
