Maine schools

As noted in the memo, the guidelines for contact tracing were recently changed by the Maine CDC and Department of Education. Schools that are requiring masks do not need to conduct contact tracing around those who have tested positive.

I know you've read and heard this a thousand times over; a local school district is going to remote learning to amid a Covid-19 outbreak. MSAD #42 in Mars Hill announced plans for elementary school students to go remotely for the week of December 20.

The community has experienced an increase in cases and exposures, and the decision was made so the schools could get a "deep cleanse "and “airing out” a nine-day span. Classes in Hodgdon are expected to resume on November 29.

The vast majority of Maine schools have been providing in-person instruction since the fall.

The funds are in addition to $165 million provided earlier this year.
