Halloween is only one week away and as an adult, I'll admit that I sneak in a piece or two (or maybe more) of candy as I hand out the candy to the trick-or-treaters. Then there is November 1st and all that leftover candy to dive into! Before you do, let us put a big bah hum bug into your Halloween.

Everyone loves dressing up for Halloween but we know it's really all about the candy.  As a responsible, caring parent it's my job to police my children's candy bags and confiscate some of it.  Right? At least that's what I tell myself.

This year, some children in Fargo, North Dakota may get a bigger trick than treat when hitting the streets for trick-or-treating. That's because a woman in the city has decided to take a stand against childhood obesity, which on its face it's a noble effort. However, the method in which she is doing it is turning heads.

I just read a story that a school district in Pennsylvania is canceling all Halloween activities so that it doesn't offend someone's religious sensibilities.  Wha?
