Do androids dream of Bryan Cranston? This is a very real question we’ll get to answer in the near future, as the former Breaking Bad star and all-around TV treasure Cranston has signed on to lead a new sci-fi anthology series based on the writings of Philip K. Dick, and brought to life by none other than Battlestar Galactica alum Ron Moore.

Bryan Cranston’s most famous role to date (and the one responsible for his late-blooming popularity) was that of Walter White, the unassuming teacher-turned-meth kingpin on AMC’s hit drama Breaking Bad. His latest role has him slipping the shoe on the other foot as real-life DEA agent Brian Mazur, who infiltrated Pablo Escobar’s drug empire to engineer one of the most famous drug busts of all time. The first trailer for aptly-titled The Infiltrator offers our first look at this new dramatic thriller, which puts Cranston back in full-on mustache-mode.

Prequels often afford the ability to trace history of fan-favorite characters, even if certain backstories are best-left unexplored. Case in point, Better Call Saul has lent plenty of depth to Bob Odenkirk’s erstwhile Jimmy McGill, though the actor himself wants fans to “stop hoping” that Bryan Cranston’s Walter White drops by for an appearance.
