He's called the master of horror for a reason. Stephen King, long known for his ability to craft incredibly creepy, and goosebumps-inducing stories is generally a much different person on Twitter. He often has short quips, sports takes and has been very political over the past few years. But on Thursday night, King shared a "bedtime story" with his Twitter followers that left everyone running to the nearest mirror.

If you live in Maine, or anywhere in New England for that matter, the last thing you want to hear about is ticks. Make that, the last thing you ever want to hear about is ticks crawling on someone's teeth. Just the visual painted in that tweet makes all of us feel uncomfortable.

BUT, as more and more people head outdoors during the warmer months, it's a good reminder to make sure you're doing regular tick checks when you return indoors. It's for your own well-being and if you have pets at home, their well-being too. Plus, you don't want to be the person that Stephen King closes his bedtime story with...

there was a tick crawling on his teeth. And that tick never left. That tick got inside. That tick took over.

We're not masters of horror. We'll stop there. Thanks Stephen King, didn't want to sleep this weekend anyway.
