Just in time for the Spring 2017 semester, the University of Maine at Presque Isle will be offering up something new at the request of its students: Starbucks in the Owl’s Nest, located in the Campus Center.

In addition to Starbucks coffee drinks—from caramel macchiatos to frappucinos—the cafe will offer upscale sandwiches, panino, salads, fresh pastries and bottled beverages.

Dan Roy, Sodexo Dining Services Resident District Manager, says the Owl’s Nest will also provide students with a late-night dining option that will include favorites like chicken wings and Maine Local Burger from Central Maine Meats.

UMPI President Ray Rice says the Owl’s Nest has undergone a significant renovation to house the new offering, from a new look—complete with the traditional Starbucks logo above the counter—to the addition of a bakery case and a Verismo Espresso Machine. Starbucks has more than 20,000 stores worldwide and more than 70 million retail customers per week.

Hours of operation for the new space will be Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (official Late Night hours are 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.), Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed on Saturday, and on Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
