Score & More! High School Basketball: Orono at Presque Isle (Girls/Boys)
On Monday afternoon the Presque Isle Wildcats girls and boys team hosted the Orono Red Riots in a Class B north matchup.
In the Girls game, Emily Wheaton led the Lady Wildcats with 30 points en route to a 53-33 win. Presque Isle outscored Orono 16-4 in the second quarter and never looked back earning their 11th win on the season. They will travel to take on the Houlton Lady Shires on Wednesday for their next game.
The boys game saw Griffin Guerrette eclipse the 1,000 career point mark in the first quarter. He led his Wildcats to a 66-47 victory over the Red Riots by scoring a game high 35 points. The Wildcats move to 11-4 and await a matchup with the John Bapst Crusaders on Wednesday in Presque Isle
The Cushman and Son’s Players of the Games were Emily Wheaton in the girls game and in the boys game Griffin Guerrette and Trace Cyr took the honor.
