Red Sox Swept By the Rays 9-4 [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox have now lost 4 games in a row for the 3rd time this season, with the Tampa Bay Rays beating the Red Sox 9-4 Thursday night, August 1st at Fenway Park. The Red Sox are 6-9 against the Rays, with the visiting team having won 13 of the 15 games this season.

Andrew Cashner lasted just 5.2 innings., allowing a season high 7 runs, his most since he allowed 8 last year against the Oakland A's. He gave up 7 hits while walking 5.

Xander Bogaerts was 4-4 at the plate, scoring 2 runs and blasting 2 homers, his 24th and 25th of the season. He leads the Red Sox with 25 homers and is a career high. He's tied with Rafael Devers for the team lead in RBIs with 84.
