The Boston Red Sox rallied twice to tie the game after trailing 5-1, scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 6-5 lead and then tying the score at 7-7 in the 10th inning before falling to the Cleveland Guardians 10-7 in 11 innings on Tuesday night.

The Red Sox are 2-6 at Fenway this year, and are 2-2 in extra inning games.

Kenley Jansen blew the save, allowing Cleveland to tie the game in the 9th inning, allowing 3 hits and 1 run.

Enmanuel Valdez was 2-4 with a solo home run in the 4th inning. It was his 2nd homer of the season.

Triston Casas was 2-4 with a solo home run in the 6th inning and a double in the 7th inning. He now has 6 extra base hits in his last 7 games, with 2 doubles and 4 homers. He has 5 home runs on the season.

Connor Wong was 2-4 with a 2-run homer in the 6th inning. He drove in 3 runs in the game, including a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning. Wong's homer was his 2nd of the season.

Rafael Devers was 1-2 with a 2-run double in the 6th inning, but had to leave the game in the 8th inning with left knee discomfort.

Garrett Whitlock started for the Red Sox and went 4.0 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs. He struck out and walked a batter but had to leave the game with left oblique tightness.

Tyler O'Neill missed the game after receiving 8 stitches in the head after colliding with Rafael Devers in Tuesday night's game.

The Red Sox and Guardians will play the 3rd game of the 4-game series on Wednesday night, April 17th. Tanner Houck is expected to start for Boston. The pregame begins at 6:10 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 7:10 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
