West District RCMP have arrested one man and seized a large quantity of drugs, cash and firearms from a residence in Waasis, south of Fredericton.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Nevers Road in Waasis, New Brunswick on Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from RCMP Constable Nick Steeves.

During the search, police seized a substance believed to be marijuana, along with cocaine and prescription drugs. A quantity of cash and firearms were also seized.

A 27-year-old man from Waasis was arrested and was kept in custody due to outstanding warrants. He is expected to appear in Burton Provincial Court on November 2 to face drug related charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
