A man who was found dead earlier today in Molunkus Township, near Medway, is closely related to the events of yesterday’s standoff along I-95, says State Police in Maine.

According to a press release, 68-year-old Lawrence Lewis was discovered today inside his home on Molunkus Road when police arrived with a search warrant of the premises. And while the cause of death has yet to be determined, the body is scheduled for an autopsy later this week at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta.

In the same release, police say they have identified the man involved in yesterday’s standoff as 59-year-old Bruce King, who after holding authorities at bay, apparently shot himself with a rifle inside the U-Haul truck where he was the passenger. The 43-year-old woman that was driving was not harmed and police say they have been speaking with her in hopes of piecing together this bizarre puzzle.

More details of this developing story will be revealed as they are made available.
