The New England Patriots and fullback James Develin have reportedly agreed on a two-year contract that will keep the player with the franchise through the 2018 season.

Develin was a big part of the Patriots' success in the 2016 season and was the lead blocker for LeGarrette Blount and his NFL best 18 touchdowns this past year.

The 28-year-old has played in every game of three of the past four season after joining New England from Brown.  In college Develin was a defensive lineman in the Ivy League.

Monetary figures for the two-year deal were not disclosed at this time.
