It's been a weekend of repeat winners in high school football as all four teams that won state championships are the same teams that won a year ago.

Thornton Academy opened Championship Saturday by claiming the Class A title with a  24-14 win over Portland. The title was also the third in the last 4 years for the Golden Trojans.

The Winslow Black Raiders have also won back-to-back titles as a result of their 24-10 win over Yarmouth. The win also caps an undefeated 11-0 season for Winslow. Leading by just 7 points late in the game the Raiders Trenton Bouchard intercepted a pass and returned it 34 yards for a game clinching score.

For the second time in as many years the Marshwood Eagles won the Class B title over Brunswick with a 21-14 win. Marshwood jumped out to a 14-0 lead before the Dragons got on the board and hung on after they got to within a touchdown late in the game.

The weekend opened with the Class D game Friday night between Oak Hill and MCI, Oak Hill forced six MCI turnovers on the night and came away with a 34-21 win.
