In recent weeks more and more cases of the flu are popping up. The number of confirmed flu cases in the province has gone from 14 over Christmas to 95 in the past week.

The most predominant strain this year is H1N1. So far though, New Brunswick has not been hit as hard as other provinces across the country.

Health officials in Alberta confirm about 300 people there have been hospitalized, 40 of them are in intensive care, and so far there have been 10 deaths.
