I wasn't that interested in seeing Ben Affleck's new movie "Gone Girl" but now I'm all in.

According to NESN, at one point in the film, Affleck’s character wears a baseball cap to avoid being recognized. Director David Fincher believed a Yankees hat would be the most visible route to take with the audience, but it led to a feud with Affleck. “David, I love you, I would do anything for you,'” Affleck said. “‘But I will not wear a Yankees hat. I just can’t. I can’t wear it because it’s going to become a thing, David. I will never hear the end of it. I can’t do it.’ And I couldn’t put it on my head.” The two finally agreed on having Affleck wear a New York Mets hat in the scene.

I can live with a Met's hat. Besides the 1986 World Series they are obsolete when it comes to die-hard fans like me. However Affleck is right you can't go back after you put on a Yankees hat, he would never hear the end of it and most likely catch lice. "Gone Girl" is in theaters today.
