Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 116 calls for service in and around Aroostook County this past week. Here are the incidents featured in their weekly report:

Incident Type: ACCIDENT W/ FIRE Date: 11/27/2018 Town: FRENCHVILLE Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque responded to a tractor trailer that went off the roadway in Frenchville and rolled onto its side. While investigating the crash, the truck caught fire due to leaking fuel. The Frenchville Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire and US Highway 1 was shut down for an extended period while the crash scene was investigated and cleaned up. No one was injured in this crash.

Incident Type: ILLEGAL ATTACHMENT Date: 11/28/2018 Town: OAKFIELD Trooper: TR. DUFF Brief Synopsis: Tr. Duff stopped a vehicle in Oakfield for a traffic infraction. During the stop, he discovered the registration plates displayed on the vehicle were illegally attached. Tr. Duff seized the plates and issued the man a criminal summons for illegal attachment of plates.

Incident Type: OAS/VCR Date: 11/28/2018 Town: EASTON Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins stopped a vehicle in Easton for a traffic offense. During the stop he discovered the male driver had a suspended Maine driver’s license for a previous OUI and was out on bail because of the offense. Tr. Kilcollins issued the man a criminal summons for both violations and allowed a licensed driver to take the man and his vehicle back to his residence.

Incident Type: HINDERING APPREHENSION Date: 11/28/2018 Town: PATTEN Trooper: TR. ADAMS Brief Synopsis: Tr Adams was in Patten and received information that a female was at a residence in town and that she had 4 active arrest warrants. Tr Adams parked and watched the residence during which time he observed the female in the house. Tr Adams knocked on the door and a male refused to let Tr Adams in the residence and refused to bring the female out to Tr Adams. On the following day, Tr Adams returned to the residence and summonsed the male for hindering apprehension.

Incident Type: K9 ACTIVITY Date: 11/29/2018 Town: MEDWAY Trooper: TR. SYLVIA Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia responded to Medway for a K9 track at the request of Medway PD who was investigating a burglary that just occurred and the suspect fled on foot. Tr. Sylvia and K9 Merry tracked and located the suspect who was still in possession of the property. Medway PD arrested the suspect.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 11/30/2018 Town: PRESQUE ISLE Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli conducted a traffic stop in Presque Isle. As a result of the stop, Tr Pescitelli summonsed the female operator for operating after suspension.

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 11/30/2018 Town: PRESQUE ISLE Trooper: TR. PESCITELLI Brief Synopsis: Tr Pescitelli was parked in Presque Isle and he ran a registration of a vehicle that passed him. The registration showed that the male operator had an active warrant for his arrest. Tr Pescitelli stopped the vehicle and confirmed that the operator was the registered owner and Tr Pescitelli arrested him on the warrant and transported the male to PIPD.

Incident Type: ILLEGAL ATTACHMENT OF REGISTRATION PLATES Date: 11/30/2018 Town: LINNEUS Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell ran the registration plate on a vehicle that passed him in Linneus. The registration did not belong on the vehicle and Tr Bell made a traffic stop, summonsing the operator for Illegal attachment of registration plates.

Incident Type: OUI Date: 11/30/2018 Town: LITTLETON Trooper: TR. CASAVANT Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant was called to the Framingham Road in Littleton for a car off the road that struck a pole. The investigation showed the operator was impaired by alcohol. Tr. Casavant arrested the Littleton woman and charged her for OUI.

Incident Type: WARRANT/VCR/OAS Date: 12/01/2018 Town: PRESQUE ISLE Trooper: TR. KILCOLLINS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Kilcollins stopped a vehicle in Presque Isle for a traffic infraction. During the course of the stop he discovered the male driver had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in court for a previous criminal traffic charge (operating a defective motor vehicle). The man was on bail and had a suspended driver’s license. Tr. Kilcollins arrested the man and transported him to Presque Isle Police Department for VCR, OAS, and the warrant.
