How can it only be 50%?

I use Google about 10,000 times a day. Not just for my job, but I tend to disappear down info-gathering rabbit holes on a pretty regular basis. Or I use it to shop for obscure pieces of drum gear or whatnot. These days, I feel like I can do about anything I need to with it, but every once in a while, I can't believe it won't get me where I need to.

Maybe even once in a while I've been known to verbally express my aggravation with it. But I'm not sure I've ever actually started yelling. But on more than one occasion, I've seen some angry dude standing on a street corner, yelling into his phone, but not at a person. He'll likely be yelling at Google maps. Especially on a steamy afternoon in Bar Harbor.

It's crazy right? To be fair though, it's not just Google. People will also apparently scream their faces off at Alexa, or Siri, according to GameLand. I'm not sure what these people hope to achieve. While there is some satisfaction in driving your blood pressure to constant new heights, you're also yelling at something that has no feelings.

Funny thing though, Mainers aren't even close to the worst. In Wisconsin, almost 80% of people there admit to yelling at their phone or computer. I find that to be a far more accurate number. I think they're just being more honest with themselves. There's no way we're only at 50%.

Why are Mainers doing all this yelling?

More often than not, they're angry about getting crappy directions, or needing to repeat a command several times. What's even funnier to me, is that people say that they're less likely to use an app they yell at. So what are you gonna do instead? Go back to using Mapquest? Are you going to get a travel agent?

While all this is wildly frustrating, it's basically a robot. Maybe Commander Data from Star Trek has made people too comfortable with the idea that Google's feelings will be hurt for messing you up, and apologize. Hard to say. But, yelling at things we can't control in a digital universe is a hot ticket around these parts.

Would Google work on an old Tandy 1000?

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
