It’s The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Correct?

The 2015 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were released today, among the nominees were green Day, Joan Jett and The Black Hearts, The Spinners, Sting, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Lou Reed. Oh that's right I forgot to mention N.W.A.

I was a big rap guy in the 80's. I thought Ice T and LL Cool J were cool. As far as N.W.A was concerned they changed the game. They invented Gangsta rap.Dr. Dre is an Icon.  Now rap is all about boat's, jewelry, women, planes repeat. N.W.A were some bad dudes. Except for the fact that Ice Cube's real name is Oshea Jackson and he went to prep school. Other than that they were from the hood! They talked about real life stuff, and young skinny white boys like me from the suburbs loved it! That being said they have no business being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Are you going induct them on the same night as Sting? It makes no sense.

Rap music has it's place in American Culture, but it should be in a far different category than Rock & Roll! If you disagree let me know I'd love to here from you. jack.levangie@townsquaremedia.com
