Slick Roads in Mapleton Lead to a Couple Accidents [UPDATE + PHOTOS]

Two crashes occurred in Mapleton Monday as a result of slick road conditions.

According to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, deputies investigated two crashes on the Mapleton Road earlier today.

A 2007 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Laura Chase of Mapleton and a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Jared Peterson of Caribou went off the road within a short distance of each other.

Chase's SUV struck a utility pole and sustained significant damage. Peterson's van sustained only minimal damage.

There is no connection between the two incidents other than icy road conditions and both drivers were not injured.
