The Husson Eagles and UMaine Farmington Beavers split a NAC doubleheader Monday afternoon. Eagles winning the first one 6-5, Beavers winning the nightcap 5-2.

GAME ONE: Husson 6  UMF 5  The Eagles had a 4-0 lead after five innings and then the Beavers put a five spot on the board in the 6th.

Derek Bowen had two hits and three RBI for UMF.

Husson came back with two runs in the bottom of the 6th to retake the lead and eventually win the game.

Mike Wong drove in two runs. Cam Archer had two hits and a RBI.

AJ Purcell picked up the win in relief.

GAME TWO: UMF 5  Husson 2  Timely hitting and good pitching from Jess Colford had the Eagles on top 2-1 after six innings.

UMF scored four times in the top of the 7th to grab the win.

Mark Leahy had a key basehit in the inning to drive in two runs. The Eagles committed two costly errors that allowed the winning run to score.

Husson's record is now 9-7 overall and 3-1 in the  NAC.

UMaine Farmington is 2-7 and 2-2.
