Houlton PD Charge Two Men with Cruelty to Animals
The Houlton Police are investigating the abuse & death of a Husky dog after receiving a disturbance call Monday at 52 School Street in Houlton.
Police have charged 27-year-old Kevin G. Cummings from Houlton with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and 27-year-old Brian Vrieze from Hodgdon with Cruelty to Animals.
Officials say they interviewed several witnesses and gathered evidence. The ongoing investigation involves the State of Maine Animal Welfare Program, the Department of Health, and Human Services and the Aroostook County District Attorney’s Office.
HPD says they have “zero tolerance for this type of crime in our community.”
