The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said 27-year-old Micah McGillicuddy of Houlton has been charged with aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine.

Ellsworth Police were called to a suspicious vehicle parked along a private road Tuesday night and found the meth lab in the truck, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland. McGillicuddy fled into nearby woods which led to a search overnight by Ellsworth Police, State Police and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.

McGllicuddy was taken into custody early Wednesday. He is being held at the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth on the drug trafficking charge.

The MDEA says their agents have responded to record 43 meth-related incidents in Maine this year. More here.
