The Boston Red Sox made 3 roster moves on Monday, May 27th prior to their game at Fenway against the Cleveland Indians.

First they reinstated Brock Holt from the 10-day injured list, and his injury rehabilitation assignment. Holt was placed on the injured list on April 6th because of scratched cornea in his right eye. He was further hampered due to right shoulder inflammation. He has appeared in 6 games for the Red Sox this season.

Secondly, they optioned pitcher Darwinzon Hernandez back down to Double A Portland to make room for Holt.

Thirdly, 2nd baseman  Dustin Pedroia was returned from his injury rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Portland and transferred to the 60-day injured list.

The Red Sox will open a 3 game series at home against the Cleveland Indians on Monday, May 27th, Memorial Day against the Cleveland Indians. The pregame starts at 3:00 with the first pitch at 4:05.  Rick Porcello is scheduled to pitch for Boston.
