Helping to Heal Our Veterans Through the Power of Music [VIDEO]

On this Veteran's Day I thought I should share information on an incredible organization. As a songwriter myself, there is no more rewarding experience than to know that something you have written has had an impact.  The organization 'Songwriting With: Soldiers' is affecting the lives of our soldiers in a profoundly positive way. 

Singer/Songwriter Darden Smith had been writing with soldiers for a few years, but officially started this non-profit organization in 2012.  The idea was to 'pair songwriters with soldiers and veterans to provide stress relief and write songs based on stories of combat and returning home.'  Watch the videos.

We all know that war affects people in a lot of different ways and there are some that have trouble letting go.  This is a small way of helping to deal with or simply ease some of the pain.  To our Veterans - words can't say enough.  Thank you.
